BIOTECH INNOVATORS & ECONOMIC IMPACT

Algenol, Amyris Biotechnologies, Joule Unlimited, LS9, and Naturally Scientific; Just to name a few, these are the name of some of the companies producing 4th generation biofuels.  [8]. Almost everyone on earth and every business in every country relies on some form of gasoline for energy. Since relatively any person uses energy, biofuels have the potential to benefit all types of people around the world.

People in remote countries that do not have easy access to gasoline will especially benefit from the use of biofuel. Countries that have an abundance of biomass like Europe and Brazil can create their own energy source rather than relying on the United States for gasoline. [14]
